STOPS OUT IN THE COMMUNITY
Comic Relief
Recently we hosted "Comic Relief" along with NAMI and MHAST to help raise awareness of what we do in the community and to raise funds for our organizations. STOPS alone raised almost $6,000.00 to help continue the programs we offer. The event took place at the lovely Vintage Court on Hwy. 25 in Covington and was a great time. Rich Mauti served as Master of Ceremonies and the hilarious Mike Strecker was the comedian. Music was provided by the Southeastern Louisiana University Jazz Trio. Guests indulged in a delicious buffet dinner provided by Vintage Court and fabulous desert by Zoe's Bakery. A fun filled live auction along with 150 silent auction items made it an evening of fun! We are already looking forward to next year's Comic Relief!
